NOD Games:

A South Korean startup NOD Games hit the ground running with the launch of its EOS-based idle RPG Crypto Sword & Magic. Launched in late June, not only was it one of the more visually appealing and accessible blockchain games, it didn’t make its blockchain features — in this case item trading — overly complex either. The result was the game built up an audience of over 700 daily active wallets, although this was eventually impacted by EOS’ network congestion issues later in the year. The release of a version of the game on Kakao’s Klaytn blockchain provides a second opportunity for growth in 2020.

GAME ECONOMY REPORT 📈

1. HEALTHY USER GROWTH

Among 9,589 unique user accounts on our game, 34% of them were added since Q4, within less than 4 months (Q4 + January 2020)

Also, the user base boasts an impressive 50% Month over Month retention. If you consider the short life cycle of most crypto games, this reflects a unique growth trajectory for CSM.

The Q4’s quarterly growth came from across multiple countries and most notably from below language zones. Many have seen impressive growth.

2. ACTIVE TRANSACTION ON BLOCKCHAIN

Despite the EOS network’s recent instability around the resource management, there was a cumulative total of 80,000 EOS volumes transacted on the ‘Crypto Sword & Magic game’ smart contract.

Also, our team devised innovative solutions for the CPU problem leveraging EOS 1.8 feature. We now offer FREE resources on 4 major EOS wallets where users can directly and freely utilize our’s or partners’ reserved CPU resources to play the game without staking for any CPU.

4. Avatar system introduced

In Q4, we introduced our unique avatar system. Truly transparent and scarce game assets on EOS blockchain.

We unveiled 6 special avatars as a pilot batch and they were shipped in 10 different phenomenal options. They were written on our special smart contract and fully transferable on the EOS blockchain.

The limited quantity was sold through our avatar token system and those that were not sold were discarded to ensure scarcity and the value of assets.

Our first batch of avatars was received enthusiastically by our community but the crown jewel of our avatar program was our Christmas Avatar sale: The Santa Claus 🎅🏻

The Santas came in 10 variant and all came with cute Rudolf pets. 🦌

The X-mas special Santa Claus avatar sale was announced on a week prior to the Christmas: 12/21. It took only 24 hours since launch to sell out all 10 available Santas.

So far, was our wrap up of game economy from Q4 2019 through January 2020.
