World of Cryptia: "World of Cryptia" is a game that uses adventurers to explore the remains, find all sorts of secret treasures, monsters and the like, and trade with other players and to complete the collection target.

There are certain logics in exploring the results of the ruins. Just like the proficiency in RPG games, in order to find more skilled adventurers or more ancient ruins, you need to explore it many times.

 

 

JBB.ONE: Your company has produced 2D simple styles and Japanese style games before. Compared with the previous games, this game's character image is very unique. What background was the character setting based on and what is the story behind the character?

 

World of Cryptia: This is our first time to develop a Dapp game. We first identified two concepts. One is that most of the basic logic that is made on the chain is a game that uses smart contracts. The other is that even if people who make an IT field when they participate in the blockchain they can understand it once that "this is the game." "The game of art with a high fantasy world view."

The world of "World of Cryptia" is based on a world where there are six magical civilizations. Although there are various background stories prepared, the game itself does not pay attention to the game (the game does not intentionally make the story become Concerns), this requires the player to imagine.

 

 

JBB.ONE: After our website, JBB.ONE, reported "World of Cryptia", some player experienced and said, the game mode is very close to "EOSKnights". Is the game follow-up to continue the gameplay of such placement, collection, and combat, or is it intended to develop more gameplay that allows players to participate more?

World of Cryptia: (the later gameplay) is basically based on the current gameplay, but we are now considering other games that can use this game asset in the future.

 

JBB.ONE: Your company's Hundred Ghost Night is a relatively mature series of games, and the story background is familiar to Asian and even world game players. Why did you not consider using the image IP when making a blockchain game, but instead choose this setting?

World of Cryptia: This is based on the user base of the Baiyue Night Line series and the affinity of the blockchain users. However, in the future, I will use the IP game of the Hundred Ghost Night Series.

 

JBB.ONE: Nowadays, many project parties have chosen to put some or all of the original traditional games on the chain to create a blockchain game. Will your company consider changing the previous game to a blockchain game? What is the reason for this decision?

World of Cryptia: The idea of ​​turning the assets of today's games into tokens on the blockchain is not considered by our company. If so, it is by feeding back the features of the ERC 721 token to the game, because we think we can make a game that is different from the existing ideas and can get a fun experience.

For example, if the weapon or armor made using the skills of the online RPG blacksmith is truly a unique item in the world, this may be an unprecedented experience for the player.

 

JBB.ONE: Players generally reflect that language barriers cause the game experience declined. Do you have a plan to release multilingual versions? If so, what languages ​​will there be?

World of Cryptia: "World of Cryptia" has been conceived to develop multiple languages, and adding new languages ​​is not difficult. The English version is now ready to enter, but the increase in language outside of this will also be explored according to the market.

 

 

JBB.ONE: We found that most of the competitive games in the Asian blockchain game market come from the Japanese team. Is there any incentive for the development of blockchain games in the domestic game industry or government? Or do practitioners agree with this direction? Can you briefly introduce the current situation of the Japanese blockchain game industry to the players?

World of Cryptia: In fact, in Japan, government or industry’s support is not that much, and each game company is still in the state of independent investment blockchain game types.

In Japan, the smartphone application market, which has been at the center of the game market for many years, is maturing, and various game companies are looking for the next game market. Blockchain games are one of the things that are being considered.

Although it is still in the process of exploration, the release of blockchain games of various companies will continue to increase.

 

JBB.ONE:  Does your company prefer blockchain games or traditional games in subsequent game development? Can you briefly talk about the future planning and outlook?

World of Cryptia: As with the answer to the previous question, we believe that the blockchain can be one of the new major game markets of the future.

Similarly, such as the Nintendo Switch, which is viewed worldwide, can be said to be one of the game market standards. For all of these game markets, we have the idea of ​​offering new games. Of course, the blockchain is also one of them.
