Happy 2019! To open the new year, we wanted to share some highlights of 2018 and an update on MLB Crypto Baseball as we prep for the upcoming season.
Last year we launched to tremendous response. Entire MLB Crypto teams were sold for 68 ETH ($18.9K!) and some single players went for 25 ETH ($7.5K). We’ve facilitated more than 300,000 blockchain transactions between the marketplace, game cards, and minting and we’re so proud to have taken part in the first ever Crypto Bobblehead Figure giveaway on September 21st at Dodger Stadium, where we distributed a set of just 40,000 completely unique Crypto Bobbleheads to a packed crowd of Dodger fans. And we’re not done yet!
Our community team led by Louie and River has been sharing all of your feedback with the Dev team and there is a running list with messages copied directly from Discord, Telegram and email from your feedback. We’ve loved reading your input and value how engaged our communities have been.
Fazri and the Dev team have been making great progress these last few months and we have ambitious changes in mind for 2019 so they’re mostly heads down as we get this done! We have a lot of new features coming and some fundamental improvements to UI and user experience. We’re expanding the number of players you can have on a game card to more accurately reflect MLB in-game substitutions, updating our point system to allow users to redeem a wider array of rewards, adding new team events that celebrate an even greater variety of plays, bringing new types of legendary players to the mix and much more.
We gained a lot of valuable insight from our 2018 debut and we’re infusing 2019 with lots of great features as a result. With our focus on updating the game mechanics and visuals for the new season, we won’t be able to release Winter Ball as originally intended but we’re still working towards giving players a chance to test out some new features prior to the official 2019 release. Timing of this is still TBD. For now, be sure to keep an eye out on our social media channels for updates as we move forward with the development MLB Crypto Baseball 2019. We’re looking forward to knocking it out of the park this year, so be ready for an updated, fresh, and more engaging season of MLB Crypto Baseball.
