FIFA had partnered with Algorand making it an Official blockchain partner of the football organization.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Founder of Algorand, Silvio Micali announced this deal last week.
“We are delighted to announce this partnership with Algorand. The collaboration is a clear indication of FIFA’s commitment to continually seeking innovative channels for sustainable revenue growth for further reinvestment back into football ensuring transparency to our stakeholders and worldwide football fans; a key element of our Vision to make football truly global. I look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with Algorand”
FIFA will support Algorand’s cause to bring transparency, innovation, environmental control, and inclusiveness to the Web3 and Blockchain space. Out of many climate-hurting blockchains, Algorand is focused on bringing climate-friendly blockchain solutions for everyone.
Algorand will now become the official blockchain platform for FIFA; It will provide FIFA with a blockchain wallet where their future digital assets will be traded.
Algorand will sponsor upcoming FIFA events such as the most anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in November. Even though Algorand will only be a Regional Supporter in Europe and North America, the blockchain solutions providers will officially sponsor FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.
Algorand And Its Recent Success
FIFA will bring digital collectibles to the market and Algorand will provide them with a strategy. As a matter of fact, FIFA isn’t the only big organization to partner up with Algorand. More than 2000 organizations have believed in Algorand’s cause and appointed Algorand as their official blockchain solution.
