On January 11, 2021, MixMarvel was invited to attend the first conference of the blockchain application project in Dujiang Weir. MixMarvel had the chance to participate in the signing ceremony along with the Blockchain Scenario Innovation Lab enterprises. Due to MixMarvel being an application scenario project of the Blockchain Scenario Lab, the MixMarvel spokesman delivered a keynote speech under “Blockchain + New Tourism Consumption” and participated in the round table, discussing the blockchain open scenarios for ten years forward.
MixMarvel CSO Mary Ma mentioned that before accepting the invitation to participate in the project, MixMarvel investigated the Dujiang Weir current tourism situation. Discovered problems were relatively similar to those found by MixMarvel’s founders during a tourism survey for the Macao government in 2015. The issues stated included the uneven distribution of tourists, asymmetric information on scenic spots, and shopping tourism. Therefore, in the speech given at the conference, MixMarvel summarized the research results, combined those with the local tourism data during the 2020 National Holiday, and proposed a scenic blockchain upgrade plan. The proposed blockchain digital construction scenarios in Dujiang Weir scenic area included digital tickets, digital souvenirs, and digital scenes in games.
MixMarvel has long been dedicated to exploring the blockchain infrastructure and application. Its research partners include traditional academic institutions as well as governmental labs. In 2019, MixMarvel was invited to participate in the O-Show Global Roadshow, where the MixMarvel Platform was officially launched. At the same time, it received official recognition of the presentation content and value from Harvard University, which also expressed its desire to establish long-term scientific cooperation.
